Ghẹ rửa sạch và cho vào nồi hấp chín. Mồng tơi tách lá, rửa sạch, để ráo nước. Chuẩn bị các loại gia vị nêm.
Ghẹ hấp xong vớt ra tô và tách làm 2 phần, tiến hành lấy gạch. Sau đó, cho gạch vào nồi nấu làm nước dùng, phần còn lại của ghẹ để cho vào nồi sau.
Bật bếp và đun sôi nồi nước dùng, sau đó cho phần thịt ghẹ còn lại vào nồi nấu chín. Tiếp tục cho rau mồng tơi cắt nhỏ vào nồi, nêm gia vị vừa ăn là xong rồi đó. Tắt bếp, múc canh ra chén thưởng thức thôi nào.
